Karl G Maeser Preparatory Academy is a great school with great teachers and great students. However, recent events reveal corruption in the Maeser Board (Cynthia Shumway, Steve Whitehouse, Sandra Russell, Joanna Larsen, Richard Dodge, and Samantha Stonely) and Executive Director (Robyn Ellis). Sunlight is the best disinfectant, so this website exposes this corruption with the Maeser Board's own records, which prove that Maeser Prep needs a new Board and a new Executive Director. The teachers and students do a great job of upholding Maeser Prep's motto - Truth Honor Virtue. Maeser Prep needs a new Board and new Executive Director who will do the same.

The Maeser Board's own records prove corruption

in the Maeser Board and Executive Director

The records that I reference on this website are listed below. I have given each record a reference number. For convenience, I will reference each record by this number throughout this website (e.g., #1, #2, etc). You can access each record for yourself either on a website or in this Google Drive folder

Most of these records are the Maeser Board's own records that only came to light because a Maeser parent, who loves Maeser Prep and wants it to succeed, sued the Maeser Board for holding an illegal closed meeting that violated Utah's Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) (see #25 and #31). Although the Maeser Board released a few of these records voluntarily, the Maeser Board fought long and hard, and selfishly spent over one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000+) of the school's budget (see #28 and #31.5), to keep most of these records secret in order to hide their own misconduct, and only released them after being forced to release them by the Fourth District Court (see #25 and #31) or by the Government Records Office (see #29).

As discussed on the pages of this website, the Maeser Board's own records prove corruption in the current Board (Cynthia Shumway, Steve Whitehouse, Sandra Russell, Joanna Larsen, Richard Dodge, and Samantha Stonely) and Executive Director (Robyn Ellis). Please read these documents, listen to this audio, and watch this video, and decide for yourself whether the Maeser Board and Executive Director are upholding Maeser Prep's motto – Truth Honor Virtue. If you conclude, as I have, they are not, please help fix Maeser Prep by joining me in demanding that the bad actors be removed and that new Board members and a new Executive Director – who will uphold Truth Honor Virtue – take their places.
